Do you take walk-ins or is it appointment only?

Most bookings are appointment only, but last-minute shoots are accommodated if the invoice and agreement are signed.

Where am I limited to shoot in?

The front loft room with the kitchen — south-facing windows, natural bright room.

What all is included in my rental?

The loft room, kitchen, 2 restrooms, props, furniture, fabrics, stools, and accent pieces.

What is the cancel/reschedule policy?

You can reschedule within 30 days of your original rental date. There are no refunds for cancellations or reschedules.

How many people are allowed?

1–15 people for a photoshoot, and 1–25 people for an intimate private event.

Fort Wayne native Mariah James is a photographer and calligraphy artist with a deep love for the local community. As the owner of Cedar & Ink Studios, she has spent over a decade serving Fort Wayne through wedding, family, senior, maternity, and branding photography, along with detailed hand lettering and engraving. Since 2014, her work has focused on documenting stories and preserving meaningful details through natural light, intentional imagery, and timeless design inside Cedar Loft Studio and throughout the city she calls home

Originally from Fort Wayne, Amber is a dedicated entrepreneur and creative. She has founded multiple ventures, most recently Bedtime Stories Theatre. Alongside her performing and directing career, she has established Amber Media Co. through which she offers brand and event photography to support individuals and organizations in telling their stories. She is also passionate about organizing community events and fostering connections through her work. In early 2026, Amber launched Experience House Co., a co-working space for families and small businesses nestled inside The Local Archive... offering flexible workspace, community connection, and a place where creativity and productivity can coexist.
