About

Overview:

Each season will house a rotation of three distinctive "Chapters" with performances the first two weekends of the month [the exception being our season opener on April 16th]. With biannual auditions taking place in the winter and summer. Each "Chapter" is told by a cast of 5-6 individuals who narrate and act out the stories. Each chapter will be family friendly.

In tandem to our PG, family friendly show we will also be offering a "BS Chapters™" event happening Saturday evenings operating as our adult's only version of the show.

Compensation for Actors is weekly stipend, and are paid per contracted Chapter run or performance month.

Bedtimes Stories Theatre™ is a new immersive show with fun twists and turns surrounding some of your favorite stories as well as a few classics you may have never heard of! Each experience is unique to itself with scripted interruptions that change depending on our audience.

With this being our first season, we are seeking seasoned actors who are talented at improve to set the bar high for future seasons. Special skills will be considered an advantage for the quality of the show we are working to produce. Are you a talented tap dancer? Know how to juggle? Swallow swords in your spare time? We are excited to see all of the talent you bring to the table.

What to Prepare:

You will be asked to submit a questionnaire after RSVPing for the Virtual Audition. The last question is a link submission form for you to add a YouTube video with the one of the following prompts:

1) You are a bystander at the ball where Cinderella has just ran out the door. Pretend to tell your friend what you just saw in a gossipy way. (Be fun with this, give us your own take! It can be told from an old world lens, a modern take, a sad take, you can like or hate Cinderella.)

2) Tell the story of Hansel and Gretel from the Witch's perspective. (Give us your own take, was she innocent? Was she evil? Was she even really a witch?)

3) You are Hercules, and you just found out Zeus is your father. Share the scene in your mind of what happened next. (Give us your own take, is he happy? What is a demigod? How does this effect him? Are you telling it from a modern time? Does Hercules have an accent?)

A video submission must be received in order to be considered. You may also send over a resume to hello@btstheatre.com to give us more background on your experience.
